Mantis Tiller - with Free shipping

I believe I first saw the Mantis Tiller some twenty odd years ago. I was younger then and was looking for a "manly man" tiller. Something with power (virtual grunting here). Well I had a big job to do and the Mantis Tiller looked like a toy to me. I purchased a Troy Built Horse instead and have tilled a lot of ground with it over the years. But I tell you what, taking a look at the Mantis I can see where it would be a whole lot easier to use and would really do a better job than the Horse in many instances.

Why am I writing about roto-tillers? Well technology goes beyond computers and other Geek Toys. A little over a month ago I wrote about growing tomatoes in a planter. As you can see in the below photos the four tomato plants that we planted in these planters are doing very well. In fact I just counted 22 tomatoes. We don't have any ground of our own where we can plant a garden so obviously we haven't had a need to fire up our tiller in a couple of years. Bella's folks live in Aztec and have a fairly large garden. They have a tiller much like our Troy Built Horse which they use to initially prepare the garden in the spring. After the plants start to come up they are out there for hours pulling or hoeing weeds. Bottom line, there is a whole lot of money invested in a tool that really doesn't get used much.

Where am I going with this? I stumbled upon the Mantis web site a while back and watched their videos. I remembered my impression of this tiller many years ago and I have to say I was wrong. I now believe this would be great tool for anyone who needs to turn some dirt. When we get in a position where we have some ground to cultivate we are going to get one. Our Troy Built Horse will get down and do some digging but Bella can't handle it. It is just to big and powerful. We have some major rocks in the soil around here and there has been times when I had a hard time. She could handle the Mantis Tiller. If this is something that you find interesting click on the above ad and explore their website. They have some interesting videos as well as some useful Garden Tips. This company has proven themselves as they have been around for almost 30 years. Just looking at their website impressed me that they are about quality.

I would be interested to hear what you think. If you feel up to it, leave a comment.
