I received an email today reminding that Cell Phone numbers will go public next month. This means telemarketing companies will now have access to your cell phone number. Any call you receive you will pay for.

To prevent this, call the following number (Federal Trade Commission) from your cell phone: 888-382-1222.
It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years. You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number.

The recording said that 31 days after you block the call telemarketers are not suppose to call the blocked number. If they do call, get the name of the company and you may file a complaint.
