This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Tony's Pizza. All opinions are 100% mine.

Awhile back I received a call asking if I would like to try out some free Tony's Pizza and write about it.  Well I don't believe I have ever been asked that question before so of course I said "Sure thing!".  I received the coupons in the mail and laid them on the counter so we could go to the store to pick them up and .... well I don't know what happened to them. We looked everywhere..... so I went to the store and bought some.

...

I found two out of three varities: there were a few Pepperoni and a half dozen or so Supreme left in the freezer. I guess the cheese pizza was all sold out.  Home at last and have fired up the oven to 400 degrees and removed the pizzas from the box and inner wrapper.  Cute little things. The crust is different.  It is already brown on the bottom and has a good solid (crispy?) feel to it.  It is also a different shape... not round or square... it is a square with rounded corners. Hmmm the letter I received with the coupons says it is a "scround" shape. The box says the crust is air baked, not fried.  I know the crust on some other pizza crusts taste like cardboard so I am looking forward to trying these.  They look pretty good.

So they are in the oven now.  The directions say to let them cook 15 to 17 minutes.   These were not quite frozen so I'll check them here in a minute.

Just in time... my oven was a little hot. The cheese is melted and the crust around the edges is a golden brown and when I cut them with the knife I got this very satisfying crispy crunch as the pizza separated under the knife.   Smells good... and the first bite of the Supreme also gave a good crunch through the bottom 1/8 inch or so of crust.   There are little pieces of red and green peppers, onions as well as turkey sausage and pepperoni.  Pretty tasty... could use a little salt.  I can taste more of the peppers and onions than I can the meat.

Like I said earlier, the last pizza that I purchased tasted like cardboard so this is encouraging.

The Pepproni pizza is also good.  I like the spice from the pepperonis so I think I like the flavor of it a little better than the Supreme.

The pizzas are a good size.  Actually about the size of a personal pizza.  If you like variety, a couple of them (or more) would be good for a couple of people.  I cut each pizza into four pieces and ate half of each pizza which was enough.

These would be great to pull out of the freezer and eat as a snack or with several have a pretty good meal. The price was also reasonable at $1.89 each. The box says a serving size is 1/2 of a pizza; which equates to 360 calories and 0g transfat per serving. Hey I don't know what all of that really means but it sounds good.  I just go by how well I like it and I do.  Now I need to find those coupons and hand some out to my  geek friends.  I'll see if they will add a comment to this article to see how their taste buds compare to mine.  If any of you who read this would also like to make a comment please feel free to do so.  Tony's would also like to encourage you to make comments via Twitter, Facebook, My Space or getsatisfaction.com.
