Serial ATA (SATA) is the primary internal storage interconnect for desktop and mobile PCs. It connects the host system to peripherals such as hard drives, solid state drives, optical drives, and removable magnetic media devices.

On May 27, 2009 Serial ATA International Organization released the Serial ATA Revision 3.0 Specification which increases the throughput of Serial ATA devices from 3 to 6Gb/s. This increase will eliminate storage as a system bottleneck as data can be transfered in half the time it use to require. With the increasing availability of commercial content, and the increased usage of personal digital photos, videos, music, and other data files, storage interfaces are being pushed to their limit which causes a bottleneck (system wide slowdown). SATA Rev 3.0 will provide end-users with the speed they crave, without compromising the quality and performance they’ve come to expect from SATA technology.

It is always nice to just cruse around the web looking at the different designs of web pages. In this instance I was looking for something to write about when I came upon a FREE tutorial on Web 2.0 navigation using Photoshop. Well I use Gimp instead of Photoshop but the tutorial for the most part applies.

Hancock Photography is a new business startup in Payson, Utah. They need a lot of storage for all of the photos they shoot and they need the security that redundancy gives. Being a startup, they really couldn't afford a NAS (Network Attached Storage) so we went with the next best thing.

As of this date eighteen teams have signed up for the Google Lunar X PRIZE competition. The Google Lunar X PRIZE is a $30 million competition for the first privately funded team to send a robot to the moon, travel 500 meters and transmit video, images and data back to the Earth. The teams come from all walks of life and each with varied experiences and ideas and each has a unique plan for getting to the lunar surface. Get to know the teams; check out their blogs, videos, and pictures. The final deadline for winning the prize is December 31, 2014. It will be here before you know it. Moon Walker II Owi Robot Kit (Requires Soldering)

I was just doing some research for an e-Book that I am thinking about writing when all of a sudden I get this pop-up saying my machine is infected and asked If I wanted to run a scan. (I wish I would have gotten a screen shot of that pop-up.) Anyway I am running Linux so I knew anything that was thrown at me would be a Windows executable and wouldn't affect my machine so I said 'OK', show me what you've got.
